Luc Jacquet (March of the Penguins; Once Upon A Forest, SFGFF 2014) returns to the Antarctic with this awe-inspiring account of the life of climate change pioneer Claude Lorius. A farseeing glaciologist, Lorius began studying Antarctic ice in 1957 and was the first scientist to be concerned about global warming. Now in his 80s, returning to the Antarctic he is sad to see history has proved him right. In Ice and the Sky, Lorius reflects on his legacy and continues to believe we can find a solution. |
