The 9th Annual Green Film Festival, September 24 - 29, 2019, featured 58 new environmental films from around the globe, 70+ filmmakers and guest speakers, expert panels, and incredible audience discussions. The Festival began with a spectacular Opening Night at Castro Theatre, and also featured programs at Roxie, 518 Valencia, Exploratorium, and Swissnex.

The 2015 SF Green Film Festival, May 28 - June 3, marked the 5th Anniversary of the Festival.
There were over 60 films from 26 countries to transport Bay Area audiences around the world, bringing them stories that would otherwise go unheard, and sparking your environmental imagination.

The 3rd annual festival (May 30 – June 5, 2013) presented the San Francisco premieres of 50 internationally acclaimed, environmentally-focused films from around the globe, with over 60 visiting filmmakers and guest speakers covering environmental topics surrounding clean energy, green chemistry, food, housing, trash, water, and art in the environment.
The first-ever San Francisco Green Film Festival, March 3-6, 2011 – the Bay Area’s new, leading festival for innovative film, television, & digital media that explore green and sustainability issues.
