EPA recognizes Jean Hill, Divide in Concord

Congrats to Jean Hill, star of Divide in Concord, who has been recognized by the EPA at the 2015 Environmental Merit Awards ceremony.

Divide_in_Concord_03_-_Jean_Hill_-_WEB.jpg“In 2009, Jean Hill’s grandson showed her images of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a circulating gyre of plastic the size of Texas,” the EPA said in a press release.

“Jean’s distress over this fueled her determination to do something, and ultimately led to Concord, Massachusetts, banning the sale of plastic water bottles."

You can see Jean's journey firsthand in Divide in Concord at the SF Green Film Festival on May 31, 8.30pm. The film will be followed by a discussion with filmmakers Kris Kaczor and David Regos.
