Flowing from southern Oregon to Northern California, the vast communities of the Klamath River have been feuding over its water for generations. The many demands on this finite resource, four dams and unequal water rights, have pit neighbor against neighbor. Native Americans, farmers and fisherman have to choose to put their past behind them and compromise. If they succeed, it will be the largest river restoration project in American history. DISCUSSION WITH: Jason Atkinson, producer/narrator, A River Between Us; hosted by Kevin Connelly, Associate Director, Earth Island Institute. |
