Green Film Network & UN Environment sign partnership for worldwide film festival initiatives

We're thrilled that the Green Film Network has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Environment Programme for worldwide collaboration.

Under this umbrella agreement, GFN festivals, which include San Francisco Green Film Festival, will be able to develop joint initiatives at the national level. Global initiatives will be coordinated by the GFN board and UN Environment Communication Division.

Several GFN festivals have already collaborated with UN Environment around World Environment Day celebrations. The signature of this agreement represents a further step in the collaboration with the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system, and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.

We look forward to working to develop joint initiatives with UNEP for the upcoming Green Film Fest in San Francisco in September.
